REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, and we often push the limits on numbers of
participants. Priority is given to UW faculty, staff and graduate students.

spot. The PCC covers the cost of room and board at Friday Harbor.
There will be a poster session on the first day of the meeting; abstracts

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This year's summer institute is also a FHL Centennial Symposium; several
outside speakers will be invited. A draft of sessions and schedule may be
found here.
Registrants will be sent a detailed agenda and travel information in early
September.
NOTE TO GRADUATE STUDENTS:
Reading/discussion sessions for all participating graduate students are
planned for: Tu 8/23, 8/30, and 9/6
from 11:30 to 12:30
in OSB 425.
If you are a registered graduate student, please plan to attend. These
sessions facilitate greater depth of understanding of topics discussed at
the Summer Institute.
