Anna McKee's Antarctic Art Extravaganza

Anna McKee is an artist who has been working with Eric Steig's group for several years now, and has some amazing shows coming up relating to glaciology and climate change. She was an NSF sponsored "Artist in Residence" in Antarctica last year, at our West Antarctic field site. Eric is giving a talk with Anna on Nov 20th, and she has several art openings coming up.

This is a two person exhibition with Cynthia Camlin. Anna McKee will be exhibiting work inspired by Eric Steig's Mt. Waddington Ice Core Project in British Columbia.

In this slideshow, escape to the "Big White" of West Antarctica at the WAIS Divide Ice Core Project field camp, where scientists are collecting a three kilometer column of ice for analysis. Eric Steig, Professor of Glaciology at the University of Washington, will be on hand to talk about ice core science and recent discoveries in the science of climate change.
Join McKee afterwards for an informal walk through her exhibit at Francine Seders Gallery.
