Eric Steig (UW ESS) named a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow

Professor Eric Steig, glaciologist and geochemist, likes to think about ice loss in Antarctica, among other things. Eric is one of the original team of UW scientists that made the Program on Climate Change a reality.  The Guggenheim fellowship provides awardees the opportunity to pursue research ideas “under the freest possible conditions”, in Eric’s case without departmental responsibilities. Congratulations, Eric!
