Peter Molnar, University of Colorado

In nearly 200 papers since the early 70s, Peter Molnar has made vital and elegant contributions across a vast swath of the Earth Sciences, from geodynamics and seismology, to geomorphology and climate, all the while perfecting a reputation as a cheerful and scholarly curmudgeon keeping colleagues honest. He is one of the most highly cited and highly regarded researchers in the field. Most importantly he is a reliably entertaining speaker and the quintessential interdisciplinary Earth Scientist. --Gerard Roe
