Pangea (see www.pangeagiving.org>) is a small, all-volunteer, philanthropic organization based in Seattle. Pangea makes grants only outside the US, to grassroots organizations in Central America and East Africa, and expanding this year to southern Asia. We have focused on issues such as water quality and access, economic development, and health initiatives. Since our start in 2003, we have made 38 grants to 23 grantees, where each grant has been in the range of $3000 to $10000.
Pangea hosts several educational sessions per year, which are open to anyone who is interested in the subject being presented. This session, the current working title is "Impact of Climate Change on the Developing World". It will be held on the UW campus, in the evening.
